CCTV Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup: Install, mount, and configure IP and analog CCTV cameras, Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), and Network Video Recorders (NVRs).

• Network Integration: Configure network switches, routers, access points, IP addresses, and subnets to ensure stable remote monitoring and camera connectivity.

• Structured Cabling: Run, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 ethernet cables and low-voltage wiring. Ensure clean rack management and cable dressing.

• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine preventive maintenance, update system firmware, manage storage allocation, and replace faulty hardware.

• Diagnostic Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve video loss, network drops, IP conflicts, and hardware failures.

• Client Handover: Provide clear demonstrations and train end-users on how to operate monitoring software and mobile applications.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of proven experience in CCTV installation and IT network configuration.

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, DNS, and PoE (Power over Ethernet).

• Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or brand-specific security system certifications (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Axis).

• Other: Valid driver’s license and a clean background check (required for security-related site access).
