Chemistry Teacher

Job Title: Middle School Chemistry Teacher (Cambridge Lower Secondary)

Location: 7/2, Chari St, T. Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600017

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, inquiry-based chemistry and science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum framework.

• Laboratory & Practical Work: Organize and supervise safe hands-on experiments, ensuring strict adherence to lab safety standards and protocol.

• Assessment & Tracking: Conduct formative and summative assessments (including Cambridge Checkpoint preparation); track and report student progress to academic leads and parents.

• Differentiated Learning: Adapt instructional strategies to support varied learning styles, including EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners and advanced students.

• Classroom Management: Maintain a collaborative, respectful, and safety-focused classroom and lab environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Science Education (B.Ed. or teaching certification preferred).

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of teaching experience in a middle school or international school setting.

  • Familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum (Lower Secondary Science / IGCSE pathway) is highly desirable.

• Key Skills:

  • Strong subject knowledge across core chemistry topics (matter, atomic structure, periodic table, chemical reactions, acids/bases).

  • High fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in incorporating ICT and digital tools into science education.

• It is a Full Time Teacher / Tutor job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
