Key Responsibilities
● Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
● Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates
● Reporting to the SCM Manager regarding warehouse operations and performance
● Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
● Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained
● Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed
● Delegating tasks effectively when assigning employee workloads
● Applying problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and production issues
● Maintaining proficiency in inventory management and/or invoicing software
Additional Responsibilities
● Planning and coordinating daily warehouse activities including storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods
● Conducting periodic stock audits and cycle counts to minimize inventory discrepancies
● Coordinating with transport and logistics teams for timely pickup and delivery of goods
● Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations within the warehouse
● Training, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of warehouse staff
● Maintaining warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, racking systems) and coordinating timely maintenance/repairs
● Optimizing warehouse layout and space utilization for improved efficiency
● Preparing and maintaining reports on inventory levels, damages, shortages, and dispatch schedules
● Coordinating with procurement/vendors for timely replenishment of stock
● Implementing and monitoring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
● Handling documentation related to inward/outward goods, e-way bills, and compliance records
● Managing manpower planning and shift scheduling to ensure adequate coverage
● Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and reduce operational costs
Qualifications & Skills
● High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
