Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving bulk publishers' stock, bin allocation, picking, packing, and seasonal book dispatch to schools and retailers.
Peak Season Fulfillment: Design and execute logistics workflows to handle high-volume rush periods ahead of academic session starts, ensuring 100% on-time delivery to partner schools.
Warehouse Layout & Space Optimization: Optimize storage utilization, vertical stacking, and pallet organization for thousands of unique book titles, stationery, and educational kits.
Discrepancy & Returns Management: Implement strict audits to minimize stock damage, manage book return processing from distributors, and perform monthly physical inventory reconciliations against ERP records.
Team Leadership & Logistics: Supervise warehouse staff, loaders, and packing teams; coordinate with third-party transport vendors and courier services to optimize shipping costs and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or any relevant discipline.
Experience: 2-3 years of warehouse or fulfillment center management experience, preferably in publishing, book distribution, FMCG, or retail supply chains.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP inventory modules (Tally/Busy/SAP), barcode scanning systems, and MS Excel.
Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of inventory metrics (FIFO, safety stock levels, order cycle time), damage prevention for printed media, and local transport regulations.
