Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator Executive with proven expertise in import logistics, line haul operations, and transport rate negotiations. The ideal candidate will oversee the smooth movement of goods across international and domestic supply chains, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, while delivering strong MIS reporting for management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Import Operations

  • Coordinate inbound shipments from overseas suppliers.

  • Manage customs clearance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.

  • Monitor shipment schedules to minimize delays and optimize costs.

• Line Haul Operations

  • Plan and execute line haul movements across regional and national routes.

  • Optimize fleet utilization and route planning to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Track and monitor vehicle performance, driver schedules, and transit times.

  • Collaborate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to maintain service quality.

• Transport Rate Negotiations

  • Negotiate competitive transport rates with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics partners.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Ensure cost optimization without compromising service quality.

• MIS Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain transport-related MIS reports for management review.

  • Provide insights on cost, performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Use data-driven analysis to recommend process improvements.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting for strategic decision-making.

• General Transport Coordination

  • Maintain accurate transport records and shipment tracking systems.

  • Resolve operational issues and provide proactive solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Prepare performance reports and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in transport coordination, with strong exposure to import logistics, line haul operations, and rate negotiations.

• Knowledge of customs regulations, international trade compliance, and domestic transport laws.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS), MS Office tools, and MIS reporting.
