Transport Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Logistics Planning: Organizing, planning, and overseeing the daily transportation operations to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.

• Coordination & Communication: Acting as the main point of contact for drivers, internal departments, and external vendors/clients.

• Tracking & Documentation: Monitoring shipments, processing logistics paperwork (shipping records, invoices), and maintaining accurate transportation records.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all transport activities comply with local, regional, and international regulations and safety standards.

• Issue Resolution: Troubleshooting delays, damage, and customer issues to maintain service standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle drivers and client inquiries.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected issues (e.g., traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns) in a high-pressure environment.

• Education: Typically a high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree in logistics or business administration preferred by many employers.
