JOB OFFER BY CPN SEALS - TARAPUR - Position: Store Keeper

Department: Stores / Materials Management

Reporting To: Factory Manager / Materials Manager / Plant Head

Location: Manufacturing Plant

Level: Middle Management

Purpose of the Role

The Store Keeper is responsible for effective control, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods to ensure uninterrupted production, accurate inventory records, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate records of raw materials, packing materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods.

Ensure proper inward, storage, and outward movement of materials.

Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels and inform management for timely procurement.

Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system records.

Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages.

Material Receipt & Issue

Verify quantity and quality of materials received as per purchase order and delivery challan.

Coordinate with Quality and Production departments for material acceptance.

Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions and FIFO/FEFO practices.

Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and identification of materials.

Store Operations & Housekeeping

Maintain systematic arrangement of materials for easy identification and traceability.

Ensure cleanliness, safety, and 5S practices in the store area.

Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous or sensitive materials as per SOP.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain all statutory and internal records related to stores.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.

Support audits (internal, external, statutory) by providing required data and documents.

Coordinate with Accounts for GRN, stock valuation, and reconciliation.

Coordination & Supervision

Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Accounts departments.

Supervise store assistants/helpers and allocate daily work.

Train junior staff on store procedures and safety norms.

Authority & Accountability

Authorized to accept or reject materials based on documents and SOP.

Responsible for inventory accuracy and material availability.

Accountable for material losses, damages, and compliance with store procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Graduate / Diploma in Stores, Materials Management, or relevant field.

Experience: 5–8 years of experience as Store Keeper in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Knowledge of inventory control systems

ERP / SAP or manual store systems

MS Excel & basic computer skills

Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
