Job Description (JD) – Security Officer (Ex-Army Preferred)

Job Summary

We are looking for a disciplined and experienced Security Officer (Ex-Army Preferred) to oversee the overall security of our e-waste recycling facility. The candidate will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, ensuring employee safety, controlling access, preventing theft, and implementing effective security systems and procedures across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all security operations at the plant.

• Supervise security personnel and manage duty rosters and shift schedules.

• Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles.

• Prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized movement of e-waste, batteries, scrap, and company assets.

• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and investigate suspicious activities.

• Conduct regular security patrols and security audits.

• Verify gate passes, invoices, delivery challans, and vehicle movement records.

• Coordinate with the Administration, Operations, and EHS teams to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

• Lead emergency response during fire incidents, accidents, security breaches, and natural disasters.

• Liaise with local police, fire department, and other government authorities whenever required.

• Maintain security records, incident reports, visitor registers, and daily security reports.

• Ensure compliance with company security policies and statutory requirements.

• Recommend and implement measures to strengthen plant security.

Qualification & Experience

• Ex-Army / Ex-Defence personnel (JCO/NCO/Officer) – Preferred.

• Graduate in any discipline (preferred).

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or recycling plant security.

• Experience in handling high-value inventory and industrial security is an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent discipline, integrity, and decision-making ability.

• Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.

• Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, emergency response, and fire safety.

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, and report preparation).

Compensation

Salary: As per the candidate's previous CTC, qualifications, and relevant experience (Negotiable).
