Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – Civil Construction

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Job Description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with 2–4 years of experience in civil construction to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, billing, rate analysis and project cost control.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs from architectural and structural drawings.

• Prepare estimates and rate analysis for civil and finishing works.

• Prepare and verify RA bills, subcontractor bills and site measurements.

• Check quantities of RCC, steel, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing and other construction works.

• Prepare comparative statements for material and subcontractor quotations.

• Assist in tendering, quotation preparation and cost estimation.

• Monitor project quantities, material consumption and overall project costs.

• Identify and maintain records of extra items, variations and additional works.

• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, vendors and subcontractors.

• Maintain proper records of BOQs, measurements, bills and estimation documents.

Required Skills

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.

• 2–4 years of experience in construction estimation/quantity surveying.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.

• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.

• Good understanding of construction materials and civil works.

• Good communication, calculation and negotiation skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to coordinate with site teams.

Preference: candidates with experience in residential/high-rise construction and RCC works will be preferred.
