Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality In charge to ensure the quality, freshness and proper handling of inventory, especially Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) and other perishable items.

The role will focus on quality checks, expiry control, FIFO/FEFO compliance, hygiene, customer complaint reduction and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the required quality standards of Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) received and stored at the dark store.

• Monitor and maintain the quality of perishable items during receiving, storage and dispatch.

• Conduct regular quality checks and identify damaged, spoiled or sub-standard products.

• Ensure expired and near-expiry items are identified and removed on time.

• Work towards reducing customer complaints related to quality, freshness, damage or expiry.

• Ensure proper bin cleaning, store hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.

• Ensure inventory is managed as per FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) principles.

• Conduct and support cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

• Identify quality deviations and coordinate with Store/Operations teams for corrective action.

• Maintain quality check records, rejection data and related MIS.

• Escalate recurring quality issues and support root-cause identification.

• Ensure adherence to defined quality SOPs and operational standards.

Candidate Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Quality, Inventory, Grocery, F&V, Dark Store, Warehouse or Quick Commerce Operations.

• Hands-on experience in handling perishable products/F&V will be strongly preferred.

• Good understanding of FIFO and FEFO.

• Experience in expiry control, quality checks and inventory audits.

• Understanding of store hygiene and product-handling standards.

• Ability to identify damaged, expired or poor-quality stock.

• Basic knowledge of Excel/MIS reporting.

• Good observation, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working in rotational shifts and a fast-paced dark-store environment.
