Picker / Packer

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Picking: Locating products on shelves, racks, or bins based on picking tickets or voice-scanner instructions.

• Order Packing: Packaging items securely, selecting the correct size containers, and using protective materials (e.g., bubble wrap) to prevent damage.

• Labeling and Shipping:

  Applying shipping labels, verifying address accuracy, and ensuring orders are complete.

• Inventory Accuracy: Checking items for defects or damages and ensuring the correct quantity is picked.

• Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the workspace, aisles, and equipment clean, safe, and organized.

• Technology Use: Utilizing warehouse management software and scanning technology to update inventory levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift boxes, often up to 10 kg to 20 kg, for long periods.

• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in picking the right items and quantities to avoid shipping errors.

• Efficiency and Speed: Ability to work quickly to meet, or exceed, daily production quotas and deadlines.

• Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

• Experience: Previous warehouse or forklift experience is often preferred, but many roles are entry-level.
