Position: Shift Incharge – Coal Transportation

Locations: Jharkhand & West Bengal

Reports To: Transport / Operations Manager

Experience: 1–3 years in transport & logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in coal or bulk material handling

Salary: Negotiable(in hand salary+ PF + ESIC + Bonus)

Ready to relocate to anywhere in Jharkhand and West Bengal

Key Responsibilities-

Shift Management

• Oversee end-to-end coal transportation operations during assigned shift (day/night).

• Manage a small team of drivers, loaders, and helpers; allocate tasks and ensure discipline.

- Vehicle & Equipment Supervision

• Ensure all trucks/trippers, loading/unloading equipment (like excavators, conveyor belts), and safety gear are in working condition.

• Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain logs for vehicle health, fuel, and emissions.

- Loading & Unloading Coordination

• Coordinate with weighbridge, loading points, and dispatch to maintain a smooth flow.

• Verify quantity (tonnage) and quality (moisture, size) of coal during loading/unloading.

- Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols – PPE, speed limits, loading limits, and handling of hazardous conditions.

• Ensure adherence to environmental and statutory norms (pollution control, e-way bills, GST).

- Documentation

• Maintain accurate records – LR, delivery challan, weighbridge slips, trip sheets, and incident reports.

• Generate daily shift reports and highlight any delays or issues.

- Communication

• Liaise with plant/warehouse, transport office, and customers for real-time updates.

• Handle escalation of complaints or deviations promptly.

- Performance Monitoring

• Track KPIs

• trips per shift, tonnage moved, fuel efficiency, and driver performance.

• Implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications- Graduation or 12th Pass

- 1–3 years in transport/logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in coal, minerals, or bulk material.

- Strong knowledge of coal handling SOPs, weighbridge operations, and GPS tracking.
