Job Description – ATL / TL, Last-Mile E-commerce Operations

Position

Assistant Team Leader (ATL) / Team Leader (TL) – Last Mile

Department

Last-Mile Operations / E-commerce Logistics

Role Purpose

To manage end-to-end last-mile operations at the Delivery Centre, ensuring timely dispatch, delivery performance, manpower availability, rider productivity, shipment closure and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Last-Mile Operations

• Manage daily Delivery Centre operations from shipment receiving to final closure.

• Ensure timely sorting, allocation, OFD and shipment closure.

• Monitor daily volume, capacity and route-wise performance.

• Ensure adherence to defined SLA, AVTD and delivery targets.

2. Manpower Management

• Manage Delivery Associates/Riders and ground operations staff.

• Plan manpower based on daily shipment volume and route requirements.

• Monitor attendance, productivity, absenteeism and attrition.

• Support rider hiring, onboarding, training and retention.

• Identify manpower gaps and ensure timely closure.

3. KPI & Performance Management
Monitor and improve:

• AVTD / Delivery SLA

• Dispatch & OFD

• Delivery Success

• Rider Productivity

• NDR

• COD FDDS

• RVP

• RTS

• Ageing shipments

• Escalation closure

• Customer complaints

4. Route & Capacity Planning

• Plan rider routes based on volume, distance and serviceability.

• Monitor long-route performance and rider sustainability.

• Ensure adequate capacity during normal and peak-volume days.

• Plan additional manpower/capacity for BBD and festive sales.

5. Rider Retention & Sustainability

• Identify reasons for rider attrition and non-reporting.

• Work on CPS, route distance, productivity and earning-related concerns.

• Engage with riders regularly and resolve operational challenges.

• Coordinate with hiring teams to maintain required manpower.

6. COD & Process Compliance

• Ensure timely COD collection, reconciliation and deposit.

• Maintain operational records and documentation.

• Ensure adherence to company SOPs, audit requirements and security guidelines.

• Monitor shipment discrepancies, missing shipments and process deviations.

7. Escalation & Stakeholder Management

• Handle customer and client escalations.

• Coordinate with Hub, Linehaul, Customer Service, Commercial and other support teams.

• Ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

• Provide regular MIS and performance updates to management.

8. Team Leadership

• Conduct daily team briefings and performance reviews.

• Set clear targets and follow up on individual/team performance.

• Coach team members on process adherence and productivity.

• Maintain discipline, accountability and a positive team environment.

Experience

ATL: 0–4 years of experience in logistics, e-commerce or last-mile operations.

TL: 3–6 years of experience in logistics, e-commerce or last-mile operations.

Education

• It is a Full Time గిడ్డంగి / లాజిస్టిక్స్ job for candidates with 6 months - 6+ years Experience.
