Full-time on-site role for an ERP & Inventory Executive within the Jewellery Industry, located in Chennai. The role involves managing the ERP platform inventory system used by the company. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and monitoring inventory levels, updating product details in the ERP system, generating inventory reports, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate stock records.
Role Overview:-
Key Responsibilities
1. ERP System
Manage the optimization of jewellery ERP software.
Create/maintain SKUs, design codes, barcodes, tags, pricing, certification mapping.
Ensure integration between POS, CRM, manufacturing, finance, inventory, and ecommerce modules.
Coordinate with ERP partners for upgrades, automation workflows, bug fixes, and new modules.
2. Inventory Management & Stock Control
Maintain accurate, real-time inventory across Gold, Diamond, Solitaires, Polki & Gemstone categories.
Oversee stock transfers between store, workshop, vendors, and exhibitions.
Manage GRNs, inwarding, outwarding and logistics tracking.
Lead monthly & quarterly stock audits — identify discrepancies and resolve them with teams.
Manage waste percentage, purity mapping, BOM (Bill of Materials), and valuation accuracy.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
Define and enforce QC standards: purity, diamond grading, gemstone standards, setting quality, finish.
Coordinate hallmarking and third-party lab certifications (IGI, SGL, BIS Hallmark).
Track repairs, re-finishing, remakes, polishing and update timelines systemically.
Oversee customer order fulfilment accuracy and delivery commitments.
4. Financial & Legal Coordination
Work with finance for inventory accounting, purchase planning, and accurate costing.
Ensure compliance with GST, HUID regulations, hallmark requirements and audit protocols.
Reconcile buybacks, returns, exchange workflows and vendor settlements.
5. Event & Tally Accounting Integration
Coordinate event/exhibition accounting including:
Temporary POS setup
Stock movement tracking
Sales, returns, exchanges, and cash/UPI/card reconciliation
Ensure Tally sync with ERP for:
Daily sales entries
Purchase bills & inventory valuation
Scheme liabilities
Vendor payments & ledgers
Generate consolidated financial reports post-event or month-end closing.
6. Reporting, Analytics & Forecasting
Generate dashboards and reports including:
Stock ageing & slow-moving inventory
Margins & cost analysis
Best-selling designs insights
Manufacturing performance & vendor scorecards
Ecommerce vs store vs event performance
Use BI tools (Power BI/Zoho/Tableau) for predictive analytics.
7. Schemes & Incentive Tracking
Maintain savings schemes, loyalty programs, buyback policies, and vendor scheme tracking.
Track and automate staff incentive calculations via performance metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
4–8 years experience in jewellery retail/manufacturing operations.
Strong experience in ERP workflows, Tally integration, stock valuation & BI dashboards.
Detail-oriented, analytical, strong coordination and leadership skills.
