Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and organised Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, supervise labour, maintain inventory records, coordinate purchase and sales activities, handle basic banking tasks, and maintain accurate records of daily expenses and business operations.

The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and capable of managing warehouse activities efficiently while ensuring proper documentation and stock control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse & Labour Supervision

• Supervise and monitor the daily work carried out by warehouse labour.

• Allocate work to labourers and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

• Monitor loading, unloading, material handling, sorting, and dispatch activities.

• Ensure proper storage, organisation, and safety of materials in the warehouse.

2. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing stock.

• Track inventory related to purchases and sales.

• Verify physical stock against inventory records and report any discrepancies.

• Maintain stock registers and ensure proper documentation of material movement.

• Coordinate with suppliers and customers regarding material receipt and dispatch.

3. Purchase & Sales Coordination

• Record all purchase and sales transactions related to warehouse inventory.

• Maintain purchase receipts, sales records, delivery challans, and other relevant documents.

• Monitor stock availability and inform management about inventory requirements.

• Ensure materials dispatched match the relevant sales orders and documentation.

4. Banking & Payment Collection

• Visit the bank for cheque deposits and other routine banking work.

• Collect payments from customers as instructed by management.

• Maintain records of cheques deposited, payments collected, and amounts received.

• Submit payment receipts and banking updates to management promptly.

• Follow up on pending customer payments when required.

5. Expense & Financial Record-Keeping

• Maintain daily records of warehouse and operational expenses.

• Record expenses related to labour, transportation, loading, unloading, and other activities.

• Maintain supporting bills, vouchers, receipts, and payment proofs.

• Track cash expenses and submit expense reports to management.

• Ensure all financial entries are accurate and properly documented.

6. Daily Operations Reporting

• Maintain a daily register of warehouse activities, including stock received, stock dispatched, labour work, and operational expenses.

• Prepare daily reports on purchases, sales, inventory movement, and payments collected.

• Report operational issues, stock discrepancies, delays, and other important matters to management.

• Maintain organised physical and digital records for easy reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 12th pass; graduates will be preferred.

• Previous experience in warehouse supervision, inventory management, or warehouse operations is preferred.

• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and data entry.

• Knowledge of inventory registers, purchase and sales documentation, and basic banking procedures.

• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to supervise labour and manage daily operational responsibilities.

• Honest, disciplined, organised, and reliable.

• Ability to maintain records accurately and communicate effectively.
