Factory Supervisor

POSITION: Production and Quality Supervisor

Basic function: Overall responsibility of production planning, production, Quality Control, preventive and breakdown maintenance planning and communicating with maintenance dept. for timely execution. Optimum utilization of manpower and machine for achieving the targets set by the customer in terms of quality products to be delivered as per schedule. Close interaction with factory manager in all aspects of smooth functioning of the factory

Authority: Within the limits accorded by the management you will be responsible for all functions of factory and have commensurate authority to accomplish the below listed duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coordinate with stores to ensure all material required for production, maintenance spares, etc. is available.

2. Coordinate with Q.A. dept. related to quality matters.

3. Communicate with new product development, approvals, quality issue problems, etc.

4. Total production planning and control, maintenance planning, manpower planning, effective machine utilization planning, support quality planning, etc.

5. To support, help and communicate effectively with the respective dept. for maximum output.

6. To find ways and means to control rejections and scrap by regular preventive maintenance of machines, good quality tooling, following the preset systems online and offline.

7. To give prime priority to cleanliness of production area and machines.

8. To assure that all reports in the predefined formats are regularly prepared and submitted daily to the concerned persons.

9. Coordinate daily with production head for improvement of productivity

10. Go through the Biometric reports of the attendance and take corrective action if any.

11. To go through his checklist and complete the activities defined therein before commencement of the day.

12. You will perform any other work given related to your function from time to time by the management.

13. To keep in stock of all important/ critical spares.

14. To take care the online quality of tunes in production along with the setters and operators. It should be as per specification given.

15. To educate/train the machine setters, operators and helpers on quality control, production & safety to achieve maximum production and minimum rejection/scrap.

16. You should leave your shift once your reliever comes. Before leaving you have to submit daily requisition, production, rejection/scrap, maintenance/breakdowns report.
