Restaurant Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth service, high guest satisfaction, team discipline, and sales performance. This role acts as the bridge between staff and management while maintaining brand standards on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Supervise daily restaurant operations and opening/closing procedures

• Ensure service standards, hygiene, and food quality are maintained

• Handle rush hours and resolve operational issues quickly

• Coordinate with kitchen and service team for smooth order flow

Team Management

• Train, guide and monitor stewards, captains and support staff

• Allocate duties and manage shift schedules

• Maintain discipline, grooming, and attendance

• Motivate team to achieve service and sales targets

Guest Experience

• Greet and interact with guests during service

• Handle complaints professionally and resolve escalations

• Ensure quick service and positive dining experience

• Maintain repeat customer relationships

Sales & Billing

• Monitor daily sales and suggest upselling strategies

• Ensure accurate billing and cash handling

• Reduce wastage and control operational costs

Inventory & Coordination

• Assist in stock checks and inventory control

• Coordinate with vendors and kitchen for availability

• Maintain records and reports for management

Skills Required

• Strong leadership & team handling

• Good communication & customer service skills

• Problem solving & decision making

• Ability to handle pressure during peak hours

• Basic billing/POS knowledge
