Role Summary
The Restaurant Captain is responsible for leading the service team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high service standards, and supporting smooth day-to-day restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and ensure a warm, professional dining experience.
Supervise and coordinate waiters/waitresses during service.
Assign tables and manage seating efficiently.
Take and confirm customer orders accurately.
Ensure food and beverages are served promptly and professionally.
Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints courteously.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area.
Train, motivate, and guide service staff.
Coordinate with the kitchen for smooth order execution.
Monitor service quality and ensure SOPs are followed.
Assist in daily opening and closing procedures.
Ensure hygiene, food safety, and grooming standards are maintained.
Support billing and payment processes when required.
Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
2–5 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or Senior Steward.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of restaurant service standards and customer handling.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Basic English communication (Hindi/Kannada/Malayalam is an advantage).
Flexible to work weekends and shifts.
