Academic Counsellor

Job Summary

An Education Counsellor is responsible for guiding students about courses, admissions, career opportunities, and helping them choose the right educational program. The role involves counselling students, explaining course details, and converting inquiries into admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents regarding available courses and career options.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.

• Explain course details, fees, eligibility, and admission procedures.

• Follow up with interested candidates to convert them into admissions.

• Maintain student data and update CRM or database regularly.

• Achieve monthly admission and counselling targets.

• Coordinate with the admissions and academic team for smooth enrollment.

• Conduct seminars, webinars, or counselling sessions if required.

Required Skills

• Good communication and convincing skills

• Basic knowledge of education programs and career guidance

• Ability to handle student queries professionally

• Good follow-up and relationship-building skills

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, CRM)

Qualification

• Any Graduate / Post Graduate

• Candidates with experience in Education Counselling, Tele-calling, or Inside Sales preferred.
