Job Vacancy: Field Technician (Fiber & Networking)

Role Objective

We are looking for skilled and energetic Field Technicians to join our new service branch in Wakad. You will be the face of JPR Digital, responsible for connecting high-speed fiber to buildings (FTTB/FTTH) and ensuring seamless internet delivery for both residential and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Fiber Deployment: Execution of end-to-end fiber laying (overhead and underground) from the main POP to the customer premises.

• Technical Operations: Expert handling of Fusion Splicing machines and performing high-quality terminations.

• Testing & Maintenance: Using OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) and Laser Power Meters to identify fiber breaks, calculate loss, and ensure link stability.

• Installation & Config: Physical installation of ONT/ONU devices and Router Configuration (PPPoE, Static IP, DHCP, Wi-Fi optimization).

• Fault Rectification: Troubleshooting local fiber cuts and network latency issues within defined SLAs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in ISP/Telecom field operations.

• Technical: Hands-on experience with Splicing kits, OTDR testing, and networking hardware.

• Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Wakad, Hinjewadi, and Pimpri-Chinchwad geography.

• Tools: Ability to read network route maps and fiber diagrams.

• Must-Have: Valid 2-wheeler license and a personal vehicle for field visits.
