Technician – Commercial Kitchen Equipment, Chimney & Hob

About the Role

Air-O-Service is looking for skilled and experienced Technicians to handle installation, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, chimneys, hobs, and related kitchen systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on technical knowledge, good troubleshooting ability, and the willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment.

• Carry out installation and servicing of chimneys, hoods, exhaust systems, and ventilation equipment.

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair gas and electric hobs and related kitchen equipment.

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, gas, and operational faults in equipment.

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance at client locations.

• Check motors, fans, switches, wiring, controls, heating elements, thermostats, sensors, and other components.

• Carry out equipment testing after installation or repair to ensure proper functioning.

• Handle basic electrical and mechanical work related to commercial kitchen equipment.

• Identify defective parts and provide accurate technical feedback to the service/operations team.

• Maintain proper service reports, job cards, photographs, and equipment status updates.

• Ensure all work is completed according to company and safety standards.

• Coordinate professionally with clients, site staff, and the operations team.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts provided by the company.

• Travel to restaurants, hotels, cafés, commercial kitchens, residential sites, and other customer locations as required.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

• Basic knowledge of gas lines, burners, valves, regulators, and safety systems.

• Understanding of chimney/hood and exhaust systems.

• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and understand electrical connections.

• Ability to use basic electrical and mechanical tools.

• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.

• Good communication and customer-handling skills.

• Ability to work independently at customer sites.

• Willingness to travel within Noida/NCR and nearby locations.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical trade preferred.

• Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal qualification.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in:

• Commercial kitchen equipment servicing

• Chimney / hood / exhaust servicing

• Hob and gas equipment servicing

• Electrical/mechanical equipment maintenance

• Restaurant, hotel, café, or commercial kitchen equipment

Compensation
