Safety in construction, particularly in civil engineering, is paramount due to the high-risk nature of the work environment. Here are some key technical points for ensuring safety on construction sites:
Site Assessment and Planning
Hazard Identification: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards such as falling objects, machinery, electrical hazards, and structural failures.
Safety Plan: Develop and implement a site-specific safety plan that includes emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and communication protocols.
Permit to Work Systems: Ensure that permits are issued for high-risk activities such as hot work, working at heights, and excavation.
