Job Title: Senior Laptop Chip Engineer (L4)

Level: L4 (Senior / Lead Engineer)
🔹 Role Overview
Owns the architecture, integration, and performance optimization of laptop chipsets (CPU, GPU, SoC platforms). Leads design validation, silicon bring-up, and cross-functional alignment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Lead chipset architecture and integration for laptop platforms
Work on CPU/GPU/SoC validation and debugging
Drive silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation
Optimize power, thermal, and performance tuning
Collaborate with BIOS, firmware, and OS teams
Analyze low-level hardware issues (signal, timing, power integrity)
Define and review design specifications and validation plans
Lead failure analysis and root cause debugging at chip level
Interface with vendors (Intel / AMD / ARM ecosystem)
Mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions
🔹 Required Skills
Deep understanding of:
Processor architecture (x86 / ARM)
Chipsets, PCIe, memory (DDR), power management
Strong experience in:
Post-silicon validation
Hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
Knowledge of BIOS/UEFI, firmware, and OS interaction
Experience with performance tuning & thermal optimization
Strong debugging and analytical skills
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics / VLSI / Computer Engineering
Experience with major platforms (Intel / AMD)
Exposure to high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Thunderbolt)
Leadership / project ownership experience
