Senior Technical Manager

Online Micro Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager / Pre-Sales Design Engineer to lead technical solutioning, system design, estimation, tender support and client/consultant coordination for large-scale ICT Passive Infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in structured cabling, copper and fiber-optic systems, data centers, ICT infrastructure, BOQ/BOM preparation, technical submittals and pre-sales engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and pre-sales activities for ICT Passive Infrastructure projects.

• Design structured cabling solutions for data centers, airports, commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, semiconductor plants and large enterprise projects.

• Prepare detailed BOQ/BOM, technical specifications, compliance statements and cost estimates.

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work.

• Develop optimized technical solutions in line with project requirements and applicable standards.

• Prepare and review AutoCAD layouts, rack elevations, cable routing, fiber/copper connectivity and termination details.

• Prepare technical proposals, method statements, datasheets and technical submittals.

• Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, contractors, clients and internal commercial teams.

• Conduct technical presentations and solution discussions with clients and consultants.

• Support tender clarification, technical negotiations and value engineering.

• Evaluate OEM products and recommend suitable technical solutions.

• Review designs for compliance with TIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI and project-specific standards.

• Provide technical guidance to project and installation teams.

• Review installation methodology, rack dressing, patch-panel configuration, labeling and testing requirements.

• Support project teams during technical issues, inspections, testing and commissioning.

• Mentor junior design and technical engineers.

• Maintain technical documentation, design standards and reusable engineering templates.

Required Technical Expertise

Candidates should have strong knowledge of:

• Structured Cabling Systems

• Cat6 / Cat6A copper infrastructure

• Fiber Optic Cabling – SM / MM

• Fiber distribution and connectivity

• Patch panels and modular connectivity

• Data Center cabling infrastructure

• Racks, cabinets and rack dressing

• ODF / FDF / LIU systems

• Copper and fiber testing requirements

• Cable pathways and containment

• MTP/MPO and high-density fiber solutions

• BOQ/BOM preparation

• Tender estimation and technical costing

• AutoCAD and engineering drawings

• Technical submittals and compliance documentation

• Testing & commissioning

• As-built documentation

Standards & Industry Knowledge

Knowledge of the following will be an advantage:

• ANSI/TIA standards

• ISO/IEC structured cabling standards

• BICSI best practices

• Data Center infrastructure standards

• OEM-specific structured cabling systems

• Airport / semiconductor / manufacturing project requirements

• Preferred OEM Experience

  Experience with one or more premium structured cabling OEMs will be highly preferred:

  Siemon, CommScope, Panduit, Legrand, Schneider Electric, Corning, Nexans or equivalent.

  Candidate Profile

  • Engineering qualification in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Computer Science, IT or related discipline.

  • 8–15+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • Strong experience in ICT Passive / Structured Cabling / ELV infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in pre-sales, design and technical proposal preparation.

  • Ability to independently handle technical discussions with clients and consultants.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate multiple projects.

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, surveys and project requirements.
