Job Summary

The GeM Executive will be responsible for managing and executing all activities related to the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, including bid participation, tender documentation, order processing, and coordination with internal departments to ensure timely execution of government orders.

Key Responsibilities

GeM Portal Management

• Manage complete operations on the GeM portal (seller account handling).

• Identify and evaluate relevant bids/tenders for LV Switchgear and electrical products.

• Prepare and submit bids within stipulated timelines.

• Handle bid participation, reverse auctions, and price negotiations.

Tender Documentation

• Prepare techno-commercial documents as per tender requirements.

• Coordinate for EMD, performance security, and compliance documentation.

• Maintain records of all submitted and ongoing bids.

Order Processing & Execution

• Process GeM orders and ensure smooth order acceptance.

• Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Accounts for timely execution.

• Monitor order status, delivery timelines, and payment follow-ups.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure adherence to GeM guidelines and government procurement policies.

• Track bid results, order conversion ratio, and revenue generation.

• Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports.

Client Coordination

• Liaise with government departments for clarifications and documentation.

• Resolve post-order issues including inspection, installation, and payment queries.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Min. 1.5–3 years in handling GeM portal operations.

• Industry Preference: Electrical / LV Switchgear / Industrial Products preferred.

• Education: Graduate (MBA – Marketing preferred).

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of GeM bidding process

  • Knowledge of tender documentation

  • Familiarity with government procurement norms

Skills Required

• Detail-oriented with deadline management capability

• Proficiency in MS Excel & MS Office
