Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and result-oriented Career Counsellor & Admissions Advisor to guide students and professionals in making informed academic and career decisions. The role involves understanding individual aspirations, recommending suitable courses and career paths, assisting with admissions-related queries, and supporting prospective clients through the enrolment process. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a student-centric approach, and a strong understanding of the education and career guidance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one career counselling sessions with students, parents, and working professionals
• Assess clients’ educational background, interests, skills, goals, and career aspirations
• Provide guidance on suitable career paths, courses, colleges, universities, and skill-development programs
• Assist students with course selection, admission procedures, eligibility requirements, and documentation
• Counsel prospective students and parents regarding company services and convert enquiries into enrolments
• Follow up with leads generated through calls, referrals, campaigns, seminars, workshops, and digital platforms
• Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, enquiries, follow-ups, admissions, and conversions
• Coordinate with internal teams and institutional partners to ensure a smooth admissions process
• Conduct or support career guidance seminars, workshops, webinars, and awareness sessions
• Stay updated on education trends, emerging career opportunities, entrance examinations, and admission requirements
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with students, parents, and institutional partners
• Meet assigned counselling, admissions, and revenue targets on a monthly and quarterly basis

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related fields preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in career counselling, student counselling, admissions, education consultancy, edtech, or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong counselling, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand student needs and provide practical, personalized guidance
• Good sales, persuasion, and conversion abilities
• Familiarity with admission processes, courses, colleges, and career options is preferred
• Ability to handle multiple student enquiries and follow-ups efficiently
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office, email, and CRM tools
