The Career Counsellor will guide students, youth, and job-seekers in identifying career paths, choosing suitable courses, and improving employability. The role includes counselling, assessment, training support, and connecting candidates to relevant opportunities.
Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students and job-seekers.
Understand candidates’ interests, skills, and goals to recommend suitable career options.
Provide guidance on courses, vocational training, and higher education pathways.
Support candidates in making informed decisions about employment and career growth.
Identify skill gaps and guide candidates toward appropriate skill enhancement programs.
Conduct orientation sessions, motivational sessions, and career awareness workshops.
Coordinate with training teams for enrolment and follow-up.
Assist candidates in preparing résumés, interview skills, and job-readiness.
Provide admission assistance for colleges, institutes, and training programs.
Track candidate progress and ensure smooth onboarding into opportunities.
Maintain counselling records, candidate assessments, and follow-up reports.
Prepare weekly and monthly counselling data for management.
Ensure accurate documentation of candidate journeys.
Participate in mobilization drives, awareness sessions, and field visits when needed.
Build relationships with schools, colleges, and local institutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathetic and patient approach
Knowledge of career options, skill development programs, and job market trends
Confident in public speaking and workshop delivery
Ability to motivate and guide youth from diverse backgrounds
Graduate/Postgraduate in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or relevant field
1–5 years of experience in counselling, training, or education sector
Freshers with good communication skills can also be considered
Experience in skill development or NGO sector is a plus
