Position: Telecalling Business Development Intern
Department: Sales / Business Development
Reporting To: Business Development Manager / Sales Team Lead
The Telecalling Business Development Intern will support the sales and business development team by generating leads, engaging with prospective clients over calls, and assisting in the initial stages of the sales process.
Make outbound telephonic calls to prospective clients using provided databases
Generate and qualify leads through effective telecalling and follow-ups
Explain company products/services clearly and address basic client queries
Identify customer needs and schedule appointments or demos for the sales team
Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and responses in CRM or Excel sheets
Follow up with interested prospects to nurture leads
Assist the sales team in achieving lead generation and conversion targets
Update daily call reports and activity trackers
Coordinate with senior team members for lead handover and closure support
Adhere to call scripts, quality standards, and company policies
Gather market feedback and share insights with the team
Maintain professionalism and positive communication with clients at all times
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence in handling telephonic conversations
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and CRM tools (preferred)
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
Target-oriented with good follow-up skills
Professional attitude and willingness to work in a team
Graduate or pursuing graduation in any discipline
Students pursuing MBA/PGDM in Sales or Marketing preferred
3 to 6 months (flexible based on performance and requirement)
