About the Role
Edwin Incorporation is looking for experienced Sales Executives with prior experience in academic, research, publication, patent, journal, or conference-related services.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing incoming enquiries, understanding client requirements, recommending appropriate services, conducting regular follow-ups, maintaining accurate CRM records, and achieving assigned monthly sales and collection targets.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and counselling skills, a results-oriented approach, and a practical understanding of academic and research-related services.
Relevant Experience
Candidates with prior sales, counselling, business development, or client-handling experience in any of the following areas will be preferred:
Indian and international patent registration services
Book publication and edited book projects
Research paper publication services
National and international journal publication
Scopus, Web of Science, UGC CARE, and peer-reviewed journal services
New journal establishment, ISSN, DOI, and journal management services
National and international conferences
Conference registration, paper presentation, awards, and resource-person coordination
Academic memberships, editorial boards, research services, and consultancy
Key Responsibilities
Contact new and existing leads through telephone, email, and WhatsApp
Understand clients’ academic, research, publication, patent, or professional requirements
Recommend suitable services based on the client’s needs
Clearly explain service processes, fees, required documents, timelines, and terms
Follow up consistently with prospective clients and convert qualified enquiries into applications
Collect application forms, supporting documents, and payment confirmations
Coordinate with internal patent, publication, journal, conference, and accounts teams
Maintain complete and accurate client records in Zoho CRM
Record call outcomes, client requirements, follow-up dates, notes, payment status, and conversion stages
Reconnect with previous and inactive enquiries to generate new business opportunities
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and repeat business
Achieve assigned monthly sales and collection targets
Provide professional and transparent client communication without making false or unauthorized commitments regarding publication, indexing, patent approval, conference participation, refunds, or service outcomes
Submit daily reports covering leads contacted, follow-ups, conversions, applications, and collections
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English
Strong telephone sales, counselling, negotiation, and follow-up abilities
Good understanding of academic, research, publication, patent, journal, and conference-related services
Ability to explain service packages, commercial terms, processes, and timelines clearly
Proven ability to convert leads and follow up on payments
Working knowledge of CRM systems, email, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously
Target-oriented approach with a focus on conversions and collections
Professional communication skills when dealing with professors, researchers, scholars, authors, institutions, and business clients
Eligibility
Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline
1–3 years of relevant sales, counselling, or business development experience preferred
Candidates with proven experience in publication, patent, journal, conference, academic, or research-related sales will be given priority
Candidates should be comfortable handling both individual and institutional clients
Freshers without relevant industry knowledge may not be suitable for this position
