Job Summary
The Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for generating banquet and event business by developing relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event organizers, educational institutions, and social groups. The role focuses on maximizing banquet revenue through proactive sales, client relationship management, event planning coordination, and exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Drive banquet, outdoor catering, and event sales to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
Identify new business opportunities through corporate visits, networking, referrals, and market research.
Generate business for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, conferences, product launches, corporate meetings, and social events.
Build long-term relationships with corporate companies, travel agents, event planners, educational institutions, and local businesses.
Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and venue inspections.
Client Relationship Management
Handle all banquet inquiries professionally and promptly.
Prepare customized event proposals, quotations, and contracts.
Negotiate pricing while maintaining profitability.
Ensure high client satisfaction before, during, and after every event.
Develop repeat business through excellent service and follow-up.
Event Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with Kitchen, Operations, Service, and Procurement teams for flawless event execution.
Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with complete event details.
Monitor event setup and ensure client requirements are fulfilled.
Resolve guest concerns immediately during events.
Revenue & Reporting
Achieve assigned banquet revenue and profitability targets.
Monitor booking trends and sales pipeline.
Submit weekly and monthly sales reports, revenue forecasts, and competitor analysis.
Maximize revenue through upselling of food packages, beverages, décor, and additional services. Banquet sales managers are typically expected to own the full sales cycle, coordinate event execution, and meet revenue goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Additional certification in Sales or Hospitality Management is an advantage.
Experience
4–8 years of experience in Banquet Sales, Catering Sales, Hotel Sales, or Event Sales.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, premium banquet venues, or hospitality industry preferred.
Strong corporate sales network in Bengaluru is an added advantage.
