
Area Sales Manager – Glass Industry
Job Purpose
To manage and grow sales of glass products (architectural glass, float glass, tempered glass, automotive glass, etc.) in the assigned territory by developing dealer networks, achieving sales targets, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Promote glass products to dealers, distributors, architects, builders, and fabricators.
Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
Dealer & Channel Management
Appoint, train, and manage dealers and distributors.
Ensure proper product availability and stock levels in the territory.
Resolve dealer complaints and support channel partners.
Market Development
Conduct market surveys to understand competition, pricing, and demand.
Expand market presence for products like toughened, laminated, and coated glass.
Implement promotional schemes and marketing activities.
Customer Relationship Management
Build long-term relationships with key customers.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project consultants.
Handle negotiations, pricing discussions, and order closures.
Team Management
Lead and guide Sales Executives / Territory Sales Officers.
Set targets and review team performance regularly.
Provide product and sales training to the team.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
Coordinate with production, logistics, and accounts teams for timely delivery and payments.
Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
MBA (Sales & Marketing) – preferred
Experience
5–10 years of sales experience
Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial role
Experience in glass, building materials, or construction industry preferred
