About the Role

The Prayas India is looking for an energetic and student-focused Academic Counselor to guide prospective students and parents through our course offerings and admissions process. The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator who can build trust, understand student needs, and convert inquiries into successful enrollments while delivering an excellent counseling experience.

Key Responsibilities

Student Counseling & Admissions

Counsel students and parents on the various courses offered by The Prayas India.

Understand individual student requirements and recommend suitable courses/programs.

Clearly explain course structure, batch details, fee structure, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects.

Convert walk-ins, inbound calls, website inquiries, and social media leads into admissions.

Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective students via calls, WhatsApp, and email.

Lead Management

Manage leads generated through digital marketing campaigns, seminars, webinars, and educational events.

Maintain accurate records of inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in the CRM/admission software.

Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets.

Relationship Management

Build trust and long-term relationships with students and parents.

Coordinate with academic and operations teams to ensure smooth student onboarding.

Support students with documentation, enrollment, and batch allocation.

Promotional Activities

Represent The Prayas India at seminars, education fairs, webinars, and counseling events.

Promote courses through telecalling, social media engagement, and referral networks.

Support franchise centers and branch teams with admission activities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Excellent communication and convincing skills in English, Hindi, and regional language(s) preferred.

Strong interpersonal and counseling abilities.

Comfortable working with sales targets and performing under pressure.

Basic knowledge of competitive exams and the higher education landscape.

Good computer literacy and CRM handling skills.

Energetic, presentable, and student-friendly personality.
