Job Summary

The Store Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, managing merchandise, and supporting daily store operations. The role requires ensuring product availability, freshness, cleanliness, and a pleasant shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Help customers locate products and provide product information.

• Address customer queries, concerns, and feedback promptly.

• Ensure a positive shopping experience and promote customer loyalty.

Store Operations

• Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise on shelves.

• Ensure products are properly displayed as per merchandising guidelines.

• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors about replenishment requirements.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelves, aisles, and storage areas.

Inventory Management

• Assist in stock counting and inventory audits.

• Check product quality, expiry dates, and freshness regularly.

• Remove damaged or expired products from shelves as per company policy.

• Support inventory accuracy through proper stock handling.

Billing & Cash Handling

• Operate POS systems when assigned.

• Process customer purchases accurately.

• Handle cash, card, and digital payments responsibly.

• Ensure proper billing procedures and transaction recording.

Merchandising

• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing.

• Implement promotional displays and offers.

• Maintain planogram compliance and product presentation standards.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow company policies, SOPs, and hygiene standards.

• Adhere to food safety and retail compliance requirements.

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or operational concerns promptly.

Required Qualifications

• PUC / Any Graduate preferred.

• Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.

• Experience in retail, supermarkets, FMCG, or customer service is an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer and billing knowledge.

• Ability to work in shifts and on weekends/holidays.
