Store Assistant

Role Objective

·        Ensure disciplined engineering releases, controlled documentation, and PO-based purchasing to eliminate rework and uncontrolled changes.

1. Engineering Release, Documentation & Change Control

·        Verify drawings using design checklist before release

·        Ensure completeness of BOM, specifications, tolerances

·        Maintain revision control and release records

·        Implement and track ECR/ECO system

·        Document all changes with approval, reason, and impact

·        Maintain folder structure, version control, and file discipline

·        Ensure ISO-compliant documentation

·        Prevent unauthorized or verbal changes post-release

2. Purchase & Coordination

·        Raise RFQs and POs based on approved drawings

·        Share latest drawings/specifications with vendors

·        Coordinate machining: VMC, EDM, Grinding

·        Track delivery, follow-ups, and vendor issues

·        Act as link between Design, Shop floor, and Vendors

·        Ensure all work is executed with approved drawing + PO only

3. Stores Alignment

·        Ensure material matches approved drawings and revisions

·        Maintain PO–Drawing traceability

KPIs

·        100% checklist compliance before release

·        Zero uncontrolled changes post-release

·        100% PO-based procurement

·        Reduction in rework and vendor errors

Qualifications

·        Diploma / BE (Mechanical preferred)

·        1–4 years in coordination / purchase / documentation

·        Tool room / machining exposure preferred

Skills

·        Basic understanding of engineering drawings

·        Strong documentation & Excel skills

·        Detail-oriented, disciplined, assertive
