Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment.
Handle equipment such as walk-in chillers, deep freezers, under-counter refrigerators, display chillers, and cold storage units.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults.
Check and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, sensors, motors, and refrigerant systems.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
Monitor temperature performance and ensure equipment operates within required food-safety standards.
Identify refrigerant leakage and carry out necessary repairs and gas charging.
Attend emergency breakdown calls and minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain proper records of breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure safe handling of electrical systems, refrigerants, tools, and equipment.
Coordinate with store teams and vendors for major repairs and replacement of parts.
Follow company safety, hygiene, and food-safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration maintenance.
Good knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, compressors, and temperature-control systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns independently.
Knowledge of basic electrical wiring and control panels.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to travel between stores/outlets as required.
