HR Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll & Statutory Compliance

• Monthly Payroll: Execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including salary calculations, overtime, and deductions.

• Statutory Filings: Ensure timely filing and remittance of all statutory returns, including Provident Fund (PF), ESI, Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).

• Labour Laws: Maintain 100% adherence to the Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, and Gratuity Act.

• Audit Readiness: Manage internal and external labour audits and maintain all necessary statutory registers and notices at the plant level.

2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

• End-to-End Recruitment: Drive the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to conducting interviews and final selection for both staff and worker categories.

• Interviews: Lead interview panels and collaborate with department heads to identify technical and cultural fit.

• Onboarding: Manage the orientation process to integrate new hires into the manufacturing culture and safety protocols.

3. Employee Relations & Operations

• Grievance Handling: Resolve employee issues and grievances promptly to maintain industrial harmony.

• Policy Management: Implement and update HR policies and the employee handbook to align with current labour regulations.

• Performance Management: Coordinate annual performance appraisals and assist in identifying training needs for the workforce.

• Contract Labour Management: Oversee contract staffing agencies to ensure they comply with statutory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: MBA or Master’s in Human Resources, Social Work (MSW), or a related field.

• Experience: 5 to 7 years of core HR experience, specifically within the manufacturing sector.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRMS software and advanced MS Excel (for payroll and reporting).

• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of local and national employment laws and factory regulations.
