Job Summary
The HR Manager will oversee all human resource functions at the manufacturing unit, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, performance management, and statutory adherence. The role requires strong knowledge of factory operations, labour laws, and workforce management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
•
Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant workforce (workers, supervisors, staff).
•
Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning and budgeting.
•
Handle hiring of contract labour and third-party vendors.
2. Payroll & Compensation
•
Ensure accurate payroll processing in coordination with accounts.
•
Monitor attendance, overtime, shift allowances, and statutory deductions.
•
Handle salary structuring and revisions as per company policy.
3. Statutory Compliance & Legal
•
Ensure compliance with labour laws such as:
o
Factory Act
o
PF (Provident Fund)
o
ESI (Employee State Insurance)
o
Bonus Act, Gratuity Act
•
Handle labour inspections, audits, and documentation.

•
Maintain statutory registers and records.
4. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
•
Manage union interactions (if applicable).
•
Resolve employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
•
Maintain a positive work environment and reduce attrition.
5. Attendance & Workforce Management
•
Monitor daily attendance, shifts, and leave records.
•
Manage contract labour attendance and billing verification.
6. Performance Management
•
Implement KPI/KRA systems for employees.
•
Conduct performance appraisals and feedback sessions.
7. Training & Development
•
Identify training needs for workers and staff.
•
Organize safety training, skill development, and induction programs.
8. HR Operations
•
Maintain employee records and HR MIS.
•
Ensure proper onboarding and exit formalities.
•
Handle full & final settlements.
