JOB DESCRIPTION – HOME PATIENT CARE & NURSING CARE
Position: Patient Care / Nursing Care Staff
Work Location: Patient’s Home
Duty: 12 Hours / 24 Hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to the patient at home.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and other daily activities.
- Monitor the patient’s basic health condition and report any changes.
- Provide nursing care and medication support as instructed by the doctor/nurse.
- Maintain proper hygiene, comfort, and safety of the patient.
- Assist with prescribed exercises, repositioning, and mobility.
- Maintain basic patient-care records and communicate updates to the family/company.
- Follow all instructions related to the patient’s care plan.
Staff Facilities & Welfare
- 3 meals per day will be provided by the client.
- 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep will be provided for 24-hour duty staff.
- Reasonable time will be provided for personal needs and rest.
- Staff will be treated with dignity and respect.
- Food and accommodation will be provided as mutually agreed.
- Staff will not be required to perform household chores unrelated to patient care.
- Staff should be allowed 30–45 minutes for exercise/personal activity during a 24-hour duty, subject to the patient’s condition and care requirements.
Important
Staff must maintain patient confidentiality, follow the care plan, and immediately report any emergency, change in the patient’s condition, or safety concern to the family and company supervisor.
