Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven SEO Executive with strong expertise in AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to join our digital marketing team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of traditional SEO as well as the evolving search landscape, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Bing AI, and other AI-powered search and answer engines.

You will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies that improve organic rankings, website traffic, visibility, conversions, and brand presence across both traditional search engines and AI-driven search platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies for multiple websites and industries.

• Perform technical SEO audits and identify issues affecting crawling, indexing, rankings, Core Web Vitals, and overall website performance.

• Conduct detailed keyword research, competitor analysis, search intent analysis, and content-gap analysis.

• Optimize website structure, metadata, headings, internal linking, URLs, images, and on-page content.

• Develop and implement AEO strategies to improve visibility for featured snippets, People Also Ask, voice search, and question-based searches.

• Develop GEO strategies to increase brand and content visibility within AI-generated search results and answer engines.

• Optimize content for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, and emerging AI search experiences.

• Identify opportunities to improve a brand's likelihood of being cited, referenced, or mentioned by AI search engines.

• Work closely with content writers to create authoritative, helpful, structured, and search-intent-focused content.

• Optimize content using E-E-A-T principles, entity optimization, topical authority, semantic SEO, and structured data/schema markup.

• Monitor organic rankings, traffic, conversions, indexing, backlinks, and overall SEO performance.

• Analyze Google Search Console, Google Analytics/GA4, and other SEO tools to identify opportunities and performance issues.

• Develop monthly SEO reports with clear insights, recommendations, and measurable KPIs.

• Conduct backlink analysis and develop ethical off-page SEO and link-building strategies.

• Monitor algorithm updates and changes in search engine and AI search behavior.

• Perform competitor research to identify ranking, content, backlink, AEO, and GEO opportunities.

• Collaborate with developers to implement technical SEO recommendations.

• Continuously test and refine SEO strategies based on performance and changes in search technology.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience

• Strong understanding of Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO, Local SEO, and International SEO

• Proven experience with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)

• Practical understanding of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

• Knowledge of AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, and Bing/Copilot

• Strong keyword research and search intent analysis skills

• Excellent understanding of Google Search Console and Google Analytics/GA4

• Knowledge of schema markup / structured data

• Understanding of semantic SEO, entities, topical authority, and content optimization

• Experience conducting technical SEO audits

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal English communication

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple SEO projects simultaneously

Preferred Skills

• Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, Surfer SEO, or similar SEO platforms

• Experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms

• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web development concepts from an SEO perspective

• Experience with Local SEO and Google Business Profile

• Knowledge of GA4, Looker Studio, and SEO reporting

• Understanding of AI-assisted content workflows while maintaining human expertise, accuracy, and quality

• Experience working with agencies and managing SEO for multiple clients

The ideal candidate should be able to independently analyze a website, identify SEO problems, explain why they are occurring, develop a strategy, execute the recommendations, and measure the results.
