We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator and Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming VMC machines (3-axis or 4-axis) to produce high-precision metal parts. This role involves interpreting complex engineering drawings, optimizing programs, and ensuring top-tier quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Setup & Operation: Expertly set up, calibrate, and operate VMC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings, including loading/unloading materials and selecting appropriate tools.
Programming & Editing: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code/M-code to optimize machining performance, tool life, and cycle times.
Quality Control: Perform in-process and first-piece inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges) to ensure tolerances are met.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming issues to minimize downtime.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Safety & Efficiency: Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean 5S workspace, and work efficiently to meet production targets.
Mentorship: Train and guide junior machine operators or helpers
