Role Overview

The Trim Store & Inventory In-Charge is responsible for the overall management, physical organization, documentation, and stock control of all trim items. This role serves as a crucial link between Purchase, Production, and Merchandising teams to ensure seamless material flow, zero production downtime due to shortages, and precise inventory tracking.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Inventory Management & Stock Control

• Maintain real-time control over all incoming, stored, and outgoing trim inventory.

• Conduct regular physical stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts) and reconcile physical stock with records.

• Monitor stock levels continuously to identify minimum/maximum reorder points, preventing material shortages or overstocking.

• Segregate and manage dead stock, damaged goods, or slow-moving trims and report them to management.

2. Inward & Outward Material Handling

• Inward: Receive all incoming trims, verify quantity and quality against Purchase Orders (PO) and delivery challans, and inspect for defects or discrepancies.

• Outward: Issue trims to the production floor or relevant departments strictly based on approved Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Requisition Slips (MRS), or store requisitions.

• Ensure no material leaves or enters the store without proper authorization and documentation.

3. Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain comprehensive inward/outward documentation, including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Return Slips, Delivery Challans, and Issue Vouchers.

• Ensure accurate data entry into inventory management spreadsheets or ERP/store management software on a daily basis.

• Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock summary reports to management.

4. Cross-Departmental Coordination

• Production: Coordinate closely to ensure required trims are issued ahead of production schedules to prevent line stoppages.

• Merchandising: Align on trim approvals, samples, specific buyer requirements, and project deadlines.

• Purchase: Promptly intimate the purchasing team about low-stock alerts, short receipts, or defective supplier shipments.

5. Store Organization & Safety

• Organize the store layout logically with proper binning, labeling, and tagging for easy identification and quick retrieval.

• Maintain clean, safe, and hazard-free store conditions to prevent material contamination or damage.

• Ensure secure access to the store area to prevent unauthorized entry or shrinkage.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, Graduate, or Diploma in Material Management / Supply Chain (preferred).

• Experience: Proven experience as a Trim Store In-Charge, Inventory Controller, or Storekeeper (preferably in garment manufacturing, textiles, or supply distribution).

• Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate computer literacy (proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic store software/ERP).

• Soft Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, proactive communication, and problem-solving skills.

• It is a Full Time తయారీ job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
