JOB DESCRIPTION – QUALITY INSPECTOR

Job Objective

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team at Maswer Automotive India Private Limited. The candidate should have good practical knowledge of automotive component inspection, visual inspection, dimensional inspection and wiring harness quality inspection.

The role involves inspecting automotive parts and components, identifying defects, ensuring product conformity and maintaining quality standards as per customer specifications and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Visual Inspection

   • Perform visual inspection of automotive components and parts.

   • Identify surface defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, burrs, rust, damage and improper finishing.

   • Check for missing components, improper assembly and workmanship defects.

2. Dimensional Inspection

   • Perform dimensional checks as per engineering drawings and inspection standards.

   • Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge and Measuring Tape.

   • Verify component dimensions and ensure they meet specified tolerances.

3. Wiring Harness Inspection

   • Inspect automotive wiring harnesses for physical damage, cuts, cracks and improper insulation.

   • Check connector locking, terminal fitting, pin positioning and wire routing.

   • Identify loose connections, incorrect assembly, missing clips and improper taping.

   • Verify wiring harness quality as per inspection standards.

4. Quality Control Activities

   • Identify, segregate and report OK and NOT OK parts.

   • Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.

   • Follow customer-specific quality standards and inspection procedures.

   • Support rejection analysis and corrective actions.

5. Production Quality Support

   • Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections.

   • Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues.

   • Ensure proper handling, storage and traceability of inspected parts.

   • Maintain 5S and workplace safety standards.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering.

• 1–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or quality inspection.

• Good practical knowledge of Visual Inspection and Dimensional Inspection.

• Knowledge of automotive components and Wiring Harness Inspection.

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of basic measuring instruments and quality standards.

• Good observation, communication and reporting skills.

• Ability to identify defects and maintain inspection records.
