Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, manage shop floor activities, and ensure timely delivery with high-quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with multiple departments and maintaining efficiency, safety, and discipline on the shop floor.
Production Planning & Execution
• Execute daily and weekly production plans as per schedule
• Ensure timely completion of fabrication, assembly, and related activities
• Allocate work to fitters, welders, and machine operators based on priority
Shop Floor Management
• Supervise all shop floor activities and workforce
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
• Maintain discipline, safety, and cleanliness on the shop floor
Quality Control
• Ensure all jobs are executed as per drawings and specifications
• Monitor welding quality, fit-up, alignment, and finishing
• Coordinate with QC team for inspections and approvals
• Minimize rework through strict quality checks
Material & Inventory Management
• Ensure availability of raw materials before starting jobs
• Minimize material wastage and track consumption
• Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for requirements
Coordination & Reporting
• Work closely with design, planning, and QC departments
• Communicate technical or execution issues promptly
• Maintain daily production reports
• Track job progress against planned schedules
• Highlight delays, bottlenecks, and suggest corrective actions
Team Management
• Monitor attendance, performance, and discipline of workers
• Resolve shop floor issues and conflicts
• Train and guide workers to improve productivity and quality
Dispatch & Final Readiness
• Ensure readiness of equipment for dispatch
• Coordinate for loading, packing, and documentation
Key Skills Required

Qualification
Diploma / BE in Mechanical or related field (preferred
