Maintenance Engineer – Job Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth functioning of all production machinery and equipment used in capacitor manufacturing, such as winding machines, impregnation units, testing machines, ovens, and assembly lines.

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

• Diagnose equipment faults and resolve machine breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.

• Prepare and implement maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and utilities.

• Monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and productivity.

• Maintain utilities such as compressors, HVAC systems, generators, electrical panels, and air lines.

• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure machines operate as per process requirements and quality standards.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts consumption, and machine history.

• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/purchase for procurement.

• Install, inspect, and commission new machinery or upgraded equipment.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical standards, and company maintenance SOPs.

• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

• Support automation, machine modification, and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance.

• Train machine operators on basic troubleshooting and routine machine care.

• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in maintenance and machine areas.
