Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mold Changing & Setup

• Perform mold loading/unloading on injection molding machines

• Ensure correct alignment, clamping, and proper fixing of molds

• Connect cooling lines, hydraulics, and electrical connections

• Ensure proper functioning of ejector system

2. Machine Setting & Process Support

• Set basic machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time)

• Support trial runs and first-off approval

• Adjust settings to achieve required quality and productivity

3. Production Readiness

• Ensure machine, mold, and auxiliaries (hopper dryer, chiller, loader) are ready before production

• Minimize setup time and ensure quick changeover (SMED practices)

4. Quality & Inspection Support

• Ensure first part approval before production start

• Identify defects like short shot, flash, burn marks, warpage

• Support corrective actions with production and quality teams

5. Maintenance & Safety

• Check mold condition before and after use

• Report damages or abnormalities in molds and machines

• Follow safety procedures during mold handling (crane, hoist)

• Maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards

6. Documentation & Records

• Maintain mold change records and setup sheets

• Update machine parameter sheets

• Record downtime related to mold change
