Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.

• Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, machine, and shape metal components.

• Fit and assemble mechanical parts, structures, machinery, and equipment.

• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and metalworking machinery safely.

• Install, align, adjust, and test mechanical systems and components.

• Inspect finished components to confirm correct dimensions, tolerances, fit, and quality.

• Diagnose mechanical faults and repair or replace defective parts.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.

• Dismantle and reassemble equipment when required.

• Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.

• Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and serviceable.

• Work with engineers, welders, technicians, and other tradespeople.
