Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Measure, mark, cut, and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
Perform MIG/MAG, TIG, and/or ARC welding as required.
Fabricate and assemble structural and metal components.
Set up and operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
Check dimensions, alignment, and weld quality during and after fabrication.
Perform grinding, finishing, and cleaning of welded surfaces.
Identify and repair welding defects and fabrication issues.
Follow welding procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules.
Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
Follow all workplace health, safety, and PPE requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI/Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Welding/Fabrication preferred.
Proven experience as a Fabrication Welder.
Good knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes.
Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Ability to use measuring tools such as a measuring tape, vernier caliper, and square.
Knowledge of different metals and welding consumables.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
Work may involve standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
Exposure to heat, welding fumes, sparks, noise, and metal dust.
Use of appropriate PPE such as welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, and protective clothing is required.
