Job Title: CNC Machine Operator cum Setter

Number of Openings: 3

Job Location: Pimpri Chinchwad

Indicative Years of Experience: 2-7 years’ experience (CNC Operator Level)

Educational Background: ITI / Eng. Diploma / Experienced Candidate with 12th Pass

Job Purpose: To operate and set CNC turning machines efficiently and safely, ensuring components are produced as per drawing, process requirements, quality standards and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities:

- Set and operate CNC turning machines for production of precision engineering components.

- Machine Setup: Install and calibrate tools, fixtures, and raw materials according to drawing / blueprints.

- Maintain log details of parts in machining. Produce parts as per daily plan and report the production.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and machining instructions.

- Perform machine setting, tool setting, offset setting and prove-out of programs.

- Load and unload components, select suitable tools and monitor tool condition during machining.

- Make necessary tool wear and dimensional offsets to maintain component quality.

- Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process inspection using Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge and other measuring instruments.

- Identify machining defects, take corrective action and inform the supervisor in case of abnormality.

- Maintain machine, tools, gauges and work area in clean and safe condition.

- Follow production plans, work instructions, quality requirements and safety procedures.

- Maintain basic production and inspection records and support achievement of daily production targets

- Measure finished parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers) to ensure compliance with tolerances

- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting to keep equipment operational.

- Manage tooling inventory and suggest new cost effective suppliers whenever coming into contact.

Skill Sets:

- The candidate should have proven experience in a machine shop as a CNC Machine Operator or similar role of minimum 2+ years.

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production or related technical trade preferred.

¬- Relevant experience in CNC turning machine operation and setting in a precision machining environment.

- Good knowledge of CNC turning operations, cutting tools, work holding and machining parameters.

- Ability to understand engineering drawings, GD&T basics, dimensions and tolerances.

- Hands-on knowledge of tool offsets, wear offsets and basic CNC program understanding is preferred.

- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.

- Quality-conscious, disciplined and willing to work in shifts
