CNC Lathe Machine Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES-

•  Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and tooling before machining begins.

• Monitor machine operations during production runs to ensure quality and consistency.

• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

•  Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure adherence to specifications.

•  Make minor adjustments to machine programs and settings to improve quality and efficiency.

•  Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

•  Document production logs and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
  
  ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Set up CNC machines according to production schedules and job cards

• Insert align and secure fixtures, tooling based on job specifications

• Load and adjust programs (G-code/M-code) as required for each specific job.

• Conduct initial test runs and make adjustments to machine settings for optimal output.

• Ensure all setups meet quality and dimensional standards before releasing to operators.

• Work closely with CNC operators to ensure smooth handover of machines and minimize downtime.

• Maintain setup sheets, logs, and documentation for repeatability and traceability.

JOB SPECIFICATION (SKILLS / QUALITIES/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.

•  Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

•  Strong knowledge of machine tooling and setup procedures.

•  Familiarity with quality control standards and measuring instruments.

•  Basic understanding of G-code and M-code programming (preferred but not mandatory).

•  Good attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

• It is a Full Time తయారీ job for candidates with 3 - 5 years of experience.
