ABOUT RITEX

Ritex Group Seeking a detail-oriented Legal Counsel to support our real estate and corporate operations. The role involves handling contracts, compliance, dispute management, and legal advisory across domestic and international matters.

Legal Advisory: Provide counsel on real estate, corporate, and regulatory matters.

Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents such as contracts, leases, sales agreements, and other real estate-related instruments.

Vendor Compliance: Ensure vendors comply with company and legal requirements.

Compliance Oversight: Monitor legal and regulatory changes affecting operations.

Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing litigation and disputes, liaise with external counsel, and ensure effective legal strategies are in place.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks.

Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support decision-making, regulatory filings, and internal policies.

Training & Education: Provide training and legal guidance to internal teams on relevant legal topics and best practices in compliance, contracts, and real estate law.

Administrative Support: Maintain legal documents and records and track legal issues or litigation matters.

Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal personnel.
2. Strong understanding of real estate transactions, property law, and legal regulations.
3. Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
4. Familiarity with dispute resolution and litigation procedures.
5. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills:
1. Legal Research Tools: Proficient in using Westlaw or LexisNexis for case law and statute research.
2. Document Management Systems (DMS): Familiarity with tools like iManage or NetDocuments for storing and organizing legal documents.
3. Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in Word (drafting documents), Excel (tracking data), and PowerPoint (creating presentations).
4. PDF Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for working with PDF documents.
5. E-Discovery Tools: Experience with Relativity or Logikcull for managing electronic evidence.
6. Contract Management Software: Familiarity with Ironclad or DocuSign CLM for managing contracts.
7. Collaboration Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Zoom for communication and meetings.
8. Cloud Storage: Experience with Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive for document sharing.
9. Project Management Tools: Familiar with Trello or Asana for tracking legal projects and deadlines.
10. Cybersecurity Awareness: Basic knowledge of data protection and secure file-sharing.
